The Airiness of Kota Doriya Cotton-Silk Sarees

Kota Doriya sarees, woven in the Kota region of Rajasthan, are famous for their unique square-grid pattern known as 'Khat'. These sarees are incredibly lightweight and translucent, making them the ultimate summer choice. Our collection combines this breezy weave with traditional Bagru hand block print designs.

Fabric & Craft Detail

The fabric is made from a blend of cotton (for strength and sweat absorption) and silk (for a glossy texture and strength). Hand-printing on Kota Doriya requires immense skill due to its checkered texture, resulting in soft, beautiful patterns that let air pass through easily.

Care Instructions

To preserve the natural colors and delicate hand block prints, we recommend dry cleaning for the first wash. For subsequent washes, gently hand wash in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Do not soak, and dry in shade to prevent color fading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Kota Doriya sarees starch-heavy?

New Kota Doriya sarees can have mild starch to maintain grid shape. They become softer and drape beautifully after the first dry clean or wash.
